Janice Newnham shares her family's experience of being inside the fire zone during a bushfire disaster. It is a raw and confronting description of their Black Summer Bushfire experience in 2019/20 but is reflective of the experience of many farmers who were impacted by an "unprecedented" fire season. The narrative is dotted with over 200 images, capturing the essence of the disaster and the joy of recovery.
